La Cuerre Mine, La Florida Mines, Labarces (Cantabria, Spain)

A 4x3-cm. lustrous transparent light golden scalenohedral crystal of calcite with some massive dolomite attached on a thin slab of grey coarse limestone matrix. Presents minor cleaving at the termination behind the small piece of dolomite.

WSPA-09/39 - Calcite and dolomite

La Cuerre Mine, La Florida Mines, Labarces (Cantabria, Spain)

Floater piece of partly crystallized light pink to white dolomite coated by translucent light yellow to colorlesss rounded complex crystals of calcite to 1.3 cm. across. There are tiny black crystals of sphalerite scattered on the matrix. Very tiny nicks, seen only with a loupe, on one edge of the main crystal as guessed in the botom left picture, otherwise undamaged.

A complex 3x2.5-cm. lustrous translucent crystal of calcite resting on a floater piece of light pink dolomite. Undamaged.

WSPA-09/41 - Calcite

La Cuerre Mine, La Florida Mines, Labarces (Cantabria, Spain)

Cluster of lustrous transparent scalenohedral crystals of calcite intermixed with some breccia pieces of matrix. There is one large more translucent crystal with some natural contacting or etching at bottom that acts as matrix for the rest of the crystals, some doubly terminated as the 3.8-cm. long main one. Undamaged and quite interesting.

WSPA-09/42 - Calcite and dolomite

La Cuerre Mine, La Florida Mines, Labarces (Cantabria, Spain)

A 4x3.5-cm. rounded complex lustrous translucent golden crystal of calcite with some pieces of matrix and sphalerite attached is resting on a sphalerite/galena-rich matrix party coated by small white dolomite crystals. Minor cleaving in one non-prominent face, the rest of the crystal is undamaged.

WSPA-09/43 - Calcite and dolomite

La Cuerre Mine, La Florida Mines, Labarces (Cantabria, Spain)

A piece of light pink to white partly crystallized dolomite coated by small scalenohedral crystals of calcite is host to an undamaged lustrous transparent 2.5x2-cm. main crystal. There are some black crystals of sphalerite to 3 mm. at bottom. Some bruising at the matrix as can be seen in the pictures.

An slab of light pink to white partly crystallized dolomite coated by small scalenohedral crystals of calcite is host to a lustrous transparent 2.5x2-cm. main crystal. There are some black crystals of sphalerite to 3 mm. at bottom. One of the crystal faces (the shiny face on the picture below) has been thinly cleaved.

Floater specimen with several breccia slabs of light pink dolomite with pearly lustrous crystals to about 8 mm. across cemented togheter by translucent orange complex scalenohedral crystals of calcite to about 3 cm. long. Undamaged and probably the best of this batch.

Floater piece of matrix with a 4x4-cm. lustrous transparent light amber colored crystal of calcite. Matrix is partly coated by small scalenohedral calcite crystals and shows minor white dolomite. There is a tiny cleaved nick at bottom, otherwise undamaged and quite nice.

WUSA-09/24 - Calcite

Elmwood Mine, near Carthage, Smith Co. (Tennessee, USA)

Nice matrixless doubly terminated transparent golden scalenohedral crystal of calcite with some white barite at back. Presents some contacting near the top termination as seen in the pictures and really minor cleaving at the termination, something otherwise quite common in calcites from this classic American locality. Better than most seen currently in the market.

Lustrous translucent red non-terminated crystals of crocoite to 1.5 cm. long and 2 mm. thick on limonitic matrix. Quite rich with crystals on all sides of the specimen.

WMISC-08/86 - Crocoite

Adelaide Mine, Dundas (Tasmania, Australia)

Jack-straw masses of thin lustrous red crystals of crocoite to about 1.5 cm. long (most smaller) on limonitic matrix. Quite rich with crystals on all sides of the specimen laying the best colored and more translucent at bottom. This specimen is quite fragil, although I will do my best with packing, probably some crystals will be dettached and broken on shipping.

WMISC-10/5 - Fluorite

Navidad Mine, Abasolo (Durango, Mexico)

Large heavy specimen of banded fluorite with octahedral crystals to 3.5 cm. on edge of dark pink to purple color on the top side. On the edge of the specimen the fluorite presents layers of dark pink, purple and green colors with white massive quartz at bottom.

WMISC-09/23 - Tetrahedrite and quartz

Casapalca Mine, Casapalca, Huarochiri Province (Lima Department, Peru)

Large heavy cluster of dark steel-grey to black crystals of tetrahedrite to about 2 cm. on edge associated with some transparent quartz crystals to abut 8 mm. long. The tetrahedrite crystals are combinations of two tetrahedrons, the most prominent being lustrous while the minor one is dull and shows some etching in places. There are some masses of black sphalerite and small crystals of golden pyrite at bottom. Quite clean of damage for the size with some nicks here and there.
