Large black dodecahedral crystal of andradite to about 1.5 cm. on edge with some microcline matrix attached. In some areas there is an olive-green overgrowth of second generation andradite over the large crystals. Some contacting at bottom, otherwise undamaged.

Matrixless cluster of lustrous royal-blue crystals of azurite. There is a large 2x1.7-cm. crystal with a group of smaller thinner crystals attached. These are transparent when backlit. The main crystal is contacted at bottom where it was attached to the matrix, otherwise undamaged and very interesting.

Bou Azzer District (Morocco)

A nice cluster of lustrous translucent deep magenta-red crystals of erythrite to about 1 cm. long with just a little matrix. There is a coating of tiny pinkish rosettes of a second generation of erythrite (or other species) on some of the crystals. Although there is some bending at the terminations as is typical of these soft crystals, however this specimen is quite clean of damage and of higher quality than most specimens normally seen on the market.

Highly lustrous transparent deep magenta-red crystals of erythrite to about 0.7 cm. long filling a fissure on matrix. There is some bending at the terminations as is typical of these soft crystals, however quality is still quite high.

Small piece of matrix with a shallow vug filled with highly lustrous transparent deep magenta-red crystals of erythrite to about 1.3 cm. long associated with pink spherules made of tiny acicular crystals of a second generation of erythrite. Very clean of damage, specially considering the softness of this mineral.

Fan-shaped group of translucent magenta-red crystals of erythrite to about 1 cm. long on a dolomite-rich matrix. There is just a tiny bruising spot (seen at left on bottom left picture), otherwise undamaged with all the terminations in good shape.

Matrixless cluster of blocky orthoclase crystals to about 1.5 cm. acting as matrix for a 0.9-cm. lustrous translucent brown twinned crystal of titanite. There are several tiny transparent hexagonal crystals of probably apatite. Undamaged.

Cluster of highly lustrous untwinned crystals of green titanite to 0.7 cm. across at the edge of a plate of white albite crystals to about 1 cm. across. Some black magnetite associated. One crystal of albite is not completed and a few tiny nicks on the titanite as only damage.

A limonite/azurite/malachite matrix with a 3.5x2.5-cm. vug coated by greean malachite replacing previous azurite crystals to about 1 cm. long. There are as well some small lustrous transparent (when backlit) royal-blue crystals of azurite to about 5 mm. long here and there. Some damage to the azurite but not really important.

WMISC-05/43 - Prehnite and quartz

Imilchil (Morocco)

An almost floater piece of matrix wholy coated by lustrous apple-green curved cystals and aggregates of prehnite to about 1 cm. with numerous colorless terminated quartz crystals associated. The prehnite crystals are in some way reminiscent of the classic alpine prehnite from La Combe de la Selle, France. Very minor damage in a couple of points, quite difficult to appreciate, otherwise undamaged.

Zoned hexagonal brownish red crystals of vanadinite to 8 mm. on a baryte-covered sandstone matrix. Crystals are striated and highly lustrous at the prism faces and duller at the basal faces. Undamaged.
